So who are SeniorNet UK?

Hello, I'm Mike McNamara.  As indicated on the front page of this web site, the idea for this Web Site came about from reading an article in Personal Computing World magazine. After carrying out some research, we did find a number of SeniorNet sites around the globe, but none here in the UK , so we decided to launch our own SeniorNet UK site.

The SeniorNet UK name and the web site is wholly owned by Araman Consulting Ltd which is an IT consulting company located in Reading, Berkshire, I am its managing director.

I have a number of years of experience in the IT, mainly working in the publishing industry. I am currently still working as an independent IT consultant on various projects, which is why SeniorNet UK took a little bit of time to launch after reading the magazine article. SeniorNet UK will be looking for volunteers/ contributors in the near future to assist with a variety of aspects.
